Day 181

So I made a cake last night using a rice cooker, and it didn't quite turn out as well as I had planned. I put way too much frosting into the mixing, so it overflowed all over our kitchen table! It was an absolute mess, but a very yummy mess!

Day 180

Every Monday, Andy & I have a family night, which mostly consists of renting a redbox movie & going out to dinner. Tonight, we went to dinner at Javier's, and then came home to watch the movie Disturbia. The food was wonderful, but I can't say that much about the movie. This is me trying to distract myself from the movie. Even with my music blaring & my laptop on, I CAN'T GET DISTRACTED ENOUGH!!! I really hate scary movies!

So our garden isn't doing so well, so we bought some miracle grow the other day to see if it would help. I guess we'll see!

Watching fireworks is one of my favorite things to do with Andy. This year, not only was I able to watch them with Andy, but also with my family & my bestest buds (one of those buds is in the background of this picture)!

What do boys do on a friday night when there is just nothing to do? BUILD A FIRE & BURN ANYTHING THEY CAN FIND. Here they are burning the base boards of Andy's parents' living room. I just don't get why fire is so fun!

My hubby off to work again. Glasses...check. Watch...check. Ring...check. Phone...check. Wallet...check. Netbook...CHECK!!! I think Andy's new netbook (basically a small laptop without a CD/DVD drive) is awesome, but should it really be able to fit in your pocket?

About two years ago, Andy & I both purchased the exact same laptops. They were pretty cheap, but they definitely did their job well! Well, Andy decided he wanted to get a netbook, so he sold his laptop on ksl.com the other day (GOODBYE OL' FRIEND). I didn't really want him to sell it because sometimes my laptop doesn't want to cooperate with me, so I use his and guess what happens today?! My laptop monitor quits working! It's not a big deal right now because I am home all day so I can use Andy's desktop computer, but what will I do when school starts up again? Hopefully, I can get it working again.

UPDATE: My laptop is up and running again! HOORAY!

HOW DID I GET SO LUCKY?
How did I get so blessed to have such an amazing dad and the greatest father-in-law any girl could ask for? My dad may act like this big tough guy, but he is a real softy (anyone who has seen him talk in church will agree with me). He has taught me so much, and I look up to him for his amazing testimony & love for the gospel!
When Andy & I first started dating, I was pretty afraid of Wayne, but who can blame me when the first time I met Wayne, he pegged me right in the forehead with a hacky sack. But as Andy & I got closer, Wayne didn't seem so scary anymore. He actually became one of my favorite people to be around because he is seriously the funniest person I have ever met! I now know where Andy got his humor. Wayne!

Andy & I went camping with Tami & Nick. When we pulled out our tents, they were exactly the same! We didn't have much room in the campground for two tents, so we had to put them this close to one another. One corner of our tent was actually being held up by a large log. But being that close wasn't bad at all because Andy & I have so much fun with Nick & Tam whenever we're around them!

Day 170

Benson came over to play at my house today, but I think the poor guy got a little bored. We don't have any toys in our house (but I do have tons of kids books). With no toys, Benson entertained himself by running the length of our house back and forth. The little guy got tired pretty quick, which then led him to a nice afternoon nap. This is right after he woke up.

Tami invited me to come to a Tupperware Party tonight. I was so excited because Andy & I really need some good bowls. After looking at the price, I decided we would just have to live with the crappy ones we have. We are newlyweds. Hence, no money!

Here is a picture of just a few of the MANY cherries we have on the cherry tree in our backyard. They are so delicious!!! I have always hated any kind of food that is cherry flavored, but I have decided I LOVE CHERRIES!!! YUM!!!

I went to Andy's family reunion today. Tami, Shanna, & I had fun hanging out! These girls are so fun!

We went with Andy's family to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. The temple is amazing! I definitely want to go back when it is dedicated.

My nephew, Keegan, was the first nephew to sleep over at mine & Andy's house! He spent the night last night and then I babysat him all day today while his parents were at work. He's cute, but don't let that fool you! I love that boy!

Here is my wonderful sister-in-law, Natalie, teaching the girls in her ward (as well as me) how to use coupons. She did such an amazing job. Her couponing craziness has gotten me so excited to start couponing!

My bestest buddy, Caitlyn, came to visit me at my house today. We just talked the whole time. I love being married, but I miss being able to hang out with my buddies! Lova ya, Cait! I had fun with you today.

Andy & I went to the air show today with friends and family. The thunderbirds were definitely the best part!!!

I met a one of the girls from SheDaisy today! Let's just say my in-laws have connections. I absolutely love SheDaisy! They are one of my all time favorites! It was almost surreal to actually be there and actually get to talk to her for quite a while. I learned so much about her. I learned she played "Alice" on the movie Saturday's Warrior (love that show), and her story of how her and her husband met. Not only did she take a picture with me, but she signed my CD, and gave me an autographed picture of the entire band. It still is pretty crazy that I met her, but I can definitely say it was one of the best moments of my life!!! Kelsi, you are awesome!

Day 155

WE GOT OUR NEW COUCHES, AND WE LOVE THEM!!! Here are the two strong men that moved them into the house. I am really glad Tony was able to come help us, and that we were able to borrow Tami & Nick's truck. It helped us out a lot!

I designed this shirt for the Hooper Tomato Wars Tournament. It was pretty amazing to see my design on a shirt! They turned out even better than I imagined!

Keegan & my mom came to visit me at my house today. We went to the duck pond just down the road and fed the ducks. Keegan wanted to chase the ducks more than he wanted to feed them. When we were leaving, Keegan wanted to wear Grandpa's sunglasses. That is a very stylish little boy if you ask me (but I am pretty biased because I LOVE THAT BOY!).

Andy & I rented a redbox and picked up some Jamba Juice with a gift card we got for our wedding from our friends, Kadee & Paul. The movie was The Boy in the Striped Pajamas & I definitely would recommend it to anyone. It was such a great show!
