New Year's Resolutions Part 3

Show Gratitude
Sometimes life goes by so fast that we tend to take things for granted. I am making it my goal to show gratitude more often to my family, friends, and also to my Heavenly Father for all of the things that I have been given!

Now for some journaling:
New Year's Eve was a blast!!! Andy & I partied in the new year with Andy's family and some friends. We played all sorts of fun games such as Mad Gab, Disney Scene It, BUZZword, Pictionary (probably the best version of pictionary I have ever played) and my all time favorite game Dance Dance Revolution (a.k.a DDR). The games were excellent, but the company was the best part.
Now for an explanation of the picture. I swear that Andy really loves me, but his face sure does not look like it! This picture is the first time that Andy has kissed me while his family is in the room because he thinks it is so awkward. Awkward was actually the word he was saying as he kissed me. Since it was New Year's and we are engaged, I thought this was the best way to get a kiss from him!

New Year's Resolutions Part 2

Save Money
Andy & I only have four months until we will be married, and we need to start saving our money for things we will really need in the future such as an apartment. The time to start saving is now.

Some journaling for today:
Andy's cousin Millie was married to her high school sweetheart, Robert, today. I played basketball with Millie all during junior high, and Robert and I were on Seminary Council together our Senior year of high school. I feel like I have really gotten to know the two of them very well over the past years, and I can honestly say that they are perfect for each other! Not very many people can return from a mission (Robert) and be married less than two months later! It just proves that they are truly meant for each other. Congratulations Millie & Robert!!!

And just in case any of you were wondering about the fish for the fish tank, we did buy some fish today. Andy's sister, Tami, and brother-in-law, Nick, bought Andy 7 fish and Andy bought himself 7 fish. Andy calls the 14 fish our little family. I never planned on being a mother at such a young age ;).

New Year's Resolutions Part 1

Since the new year is just around the corner, I thought I would start off this blog with some of my New Year's resolutions for 2009. Although there are many things in my life that I could work on, I have picked just a few. In the next few days, I will be posting my top three New Year's resolutions. Here is my first New Year's resolution:

Prayer
So I'm not perfect. I have always had a hard time remembering to say my morning prayers, but that is going to change this next year!

Now here is just a little journaling for the day:
Andy recently became the proud owner of an extremely nice entertainment center (from his sister Natalie). Because his TV is too big for the spot allocated for a TV, the TV sits on top of the entertainment center, but that left an empty whole where the TV should be. But don't fear because Andy came up with what he thinks to be an awesome plan. Yes!!! Andy bought a fish tank for that empty whole in the entertainment center. He didn't buy any fish because the tank is supposed to warm up for a day or two, so that will probably be what we will do tomorrow.

I also went shopping with Andy's sisters, Tami & Natalie, today. We went to Walmart, Sam's Club, Kohls, and Kim's Fashions. In the picture above, I am sporting my new coat that I bought from Kim's Fashions. I also bought a pair of brown shoes from Kim's fashions and black coat very similar to the one above at Sam's Club. Tami & Natalie both already own the coat I bought at Sam's Club, so now we each have the same coat! Awesome!!!!

About This Blog

The reason for this blog was based upon Becky Higgin's extremely creative idea to take a picture every day and journal about it. Her idea has been given the name Project 365. Visit Becky's blog or the Kit of the Month blog to find out more about it. The kit doesn't actually go on sale until Thursday, January 1, 2009 at 9 am (MST), but I thought this blog would better organize my journal until I actually receive my kit. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
