Day 356

Today was the last day of work for me before Christmas Break, but I wasn't really looking forward to this day. The principal at one the schools I work at, has been moved to a junior high school, and today was his last day at my school. I have worked with this guy ever since I got hired. He is such a wonderful principal! I really am going to miss having him around, but he is on to bigger and better things & I am positive he will do an amazing job! At the Christmas sing-a-long this morning, Santa came to bring the principal a special gift from the school. It is a picture of all the students and faculty. My friend, Amanda, took the picture for us, and it really turned out amazing!

Day 336

I didn't really have anything big planned for my picture of the day today, so I decided to take a picture of my office (if you could call it that) at one of the schools I work at. My desk is in the student lab at this particular school. Looks pretty exciting, huh?

Day 317

I took a special visit to Andy's work today. Okay...not really. I had to drive all the way to Bountiful to check out a book for one of my lessons (thanks to Tami), so I decided to go see my hubby at work on the way back from the library. Notice the poster he has above his computer as well as the picture of me in the frame. Only Andy would have a cock pit poster and a picture of me shooting a gun (I think he is so proud of that picture for some reason) in his office.

Day 293

One of the schools I work at had a "Knight" at the Museum. They wanted someone to take some pictures of all the festivities, so I volunteered. Here I am sporting my princess head piece that I made at the event! It was so crazy & loud, but I had a lot of fun!

Day 218

Final day of Brain Blast, and there's no way to go out except for something big that Vinnie has dreamed up! Vinnie is part of tech services & you never know what he might do or say next, but he is by far the most interesting part of Brain Blast. This year he came up with this song about the conference. It was pretty funny! Here is Vince (Vinnie), Justin R (the best piano player I have ever met), and Justin M (never knew he could hit that high of a note) performing the song!

Day 217

Today was the first day of Brain Blast, which means my first day back to work in two months. Brain Blast is a technology conference for Weber School District teachers & administrators, and since it deals with technology, they bring in the techs (me) to help out. I will be helping out with the blogging class this year! THEY KNOW ME SO WELL!

Day 84

Most of my day was spent at an FCCLA state competition. Rykki (one of the many techs I work with) & I were asked to judge Illustrated Talk (pretty much any subject that the student wants to present). I have had some experience with FCCLA events, but I was the one competing, not judging. Let's just say, Rykki & I did the best we could. I think it turned out pretty good though. Rykki & I haven't really had the chance to get to know each other because we work at different schools, so today I learned a lot about Rykki, and I am sure she learned quite a bit about me. I sure had fun today!!!

Day 36

Every few months, all the computer techs on my team get together for a "work lunch." At every meeting, there is always some kind of competition that includes a prize for the winner. I never thought I would win, but today I was the winner!!! Our district techs calculated how many computers each one of us have at our schools that have not been updated to Windows SP3. Well, I only have 1 machine that needs to be updated and so I WON!!! My prize was a 4 GB usb flash drive!!! It can be found in the picture above (look closely). It is the smallest usb drive I have ever seen!!!
